[Donkey Kong Country 1½]

this deserves the score it has.

not bad at all. i could swear i was watching the old donkey kong country cartoon on TV, if it wasn't for the fact that they didn't start singing at any time and i was expecting eddie the big mean yeti to come out and start punching everyone but was entertained by this nonetheless.

the animation is quite limited, like TV animation. was this intended to be shown on TV? it felt like an episode of the old cartoon so i'm assuming it was.
I suggest you submit this to teletoon or family channel or something like it, they would play it a few times when they show stuff that people sent in, and this is the kind of thing that can be shown during the day.

i don't make suggestions like that everyday, so if you want to make a professional career out of animating, stop doing videogame parodies and make something original and send it to thier main office in ontario. you probably won't make any money for it but it'll be worth your while to do it because i see from your profile that you are a proud canadian.

having TV animation on a resume isn't really a big deal but it's nice to know that people other than the various freaks, geeks, and sneaks on newgrounds.

any other canadian animators who see this review can feel free to follow the same advice providing they can make something PG or lower.

i'm serious folks. those channels are dyin' to have some non anime fall shows that kids would want to watch after school. it'll be really worth your while if they give you a series.

[Star Wars Episode 3: ROTV]

pretty damn good.

i've seen it before the star wars motif, and after, and i have to say the adaptation of "front page pwnage" was very smooth.

for anyone who has reviewed this movie asking who did the voice for shin, or "darth paper", it was me.

i know nothing about him so i made fun of the fact that he was from quebec.

good work on this movie, vince, the animation was fairly smooth and the sound was excellent, with a few exceptions, such as:
i heard a faint female whispering near the end with darth paper lying down on the table and i wasn't able to understand a word she said, as well as the music kind of lowering the voices, but other than that, nothing much that i noticed or would complain about.

Thanks Psychoworm, excelent voice acting you got there. Cannibus Clock was very impressed with it. He e-mailed me and was like "LOL was the french accent guy Psychoworm? That was fuckin' hilarious!". Oh and he offered to do voices for my upcoming movies :D

[Shades of Gray Preview]

not bad! quite professional.

very humorous and well done, but there's already a series on newgrounds called "shades of grey", which is a collection of short animations done with only shades of grey, as promised in the title.

all you have to do is change the title, finish it, and put it somewhere where we can all see it.

the acting style reminded me of caution man, a live action webcomic which has been on hiatus for a really long time, and seeing this made me feel quite delighted and satisfied.

good work. you earned my 5.

voted 4 because of the dancing batman.

that's pretty much it. otherwise it was completely average and nearly identical to everything else that comes into the portal.

pretty good!

doesen't seem like this is the kind of thing that the average NG kid wouldn't be able to understand or enjoy. this truly is an under rated flash animation. good work.

[Glooscap Fights]

almost as cool as the version that i pictured.

i thought that the one when the mikmaq are afraid to go into the forest because the then massive animals kept killing them when they were trying to fish. so Glooscap goes in to the middle of the forest and talks to the animals.
first he asks the squirrel, what would he do if he saw a human walking in the forest.
the squirrel says: " i would climb up trees and throw things at him.
then he asks the moose, king of the forest would do if he saw a human walking in the forest.
the moose said: "i would send him away with my mighty antlers.
the he asked the great white bear.
the great white bear said "i would eat him."
the other animals said similar things when he asked them.
he then proceeded to shrink each one of them by rubbing thier heads.
afterwards, he asked them what they would do.
the animal's answers were much more cowardly now, all except for the white bear who disobeyed and was banished to the cold north, and the beaver (an excellent story, but now is not the time) and the bullfrog.

except his encounter wan't as DBZish. at least not in my head when i pictured it while reading a book or listening to an elder.
and he defenitly did not have a sword. it was a spear. possibly an axe, but by looking at the bottom of any bullfrog, it's obvious that it's a spear.

good flash though. it makes me feel proud to be a mikmaq, which i feel everyday anyway.
