BIG STICK LOWEL I GET IT

heh. cute.

that was a simply adorable flash that put me in the mood for a quick nap. if that was your intention, it worked. goodnight!

Madelief responds:

Thank you so much!!
Now you can play this everytime you need a nap ;)

i see the apparent influence of your brother.

i learned flash by collaborating with my brother as well, but it took a lot of practice and patience to come up with my own style, which is something i suggest you do because i see a lot of potential in this, even if it is just a stretch and squish squiggle FBF movie. it's a good start, but don't be afraid to experiment with all the flash techniques you can get your hands on, and maybe you can invent a few tricks that you can either keep to yourself or share with a select few.

explore all aspects of flash and it'll be more fun and the movies will be a lot easier to make.

Murch responds:

lol, i havent done an FBF collab, but that sounds like a good idea :P. Ill keep all those points in mind. thanks for the great review :).

boxes and sqiggles.

there's already a million flashes like this, and with good reason: they make excellent practice.

as much as i love frame by frame animation, i personally feel this could have been executed way better.

if i was to teach a flash class, one of the assignments would be box and squiggle fbf on computers that have no games or internet access.

i'd start out with a runthrough of the tools, basic static drawings and actionscript lessons, then preloaders, then tweens, shape and motion, then frame by frame motion, with more than just simple shapes, then a game, with manuals passed out to recreate basic arcade games, then an independant assignment which is to be done in any method,
and the final lesson would be to make at least a minute long animation with all animation techniques reviewed.

then various tests which involve correcting premade actionscript errors

nexttime you make FBF try experimenting with animating humans, animals, and everyday structures as you see them.

thank you for a brief moment of entertainment, i expect to see good things from you sooner or later.

This was my first piece of work, and although I had a few glitches throughout, I am pleased with the result. Hopefully with my next piece of work, I will attempt to include action-scripting and proper animation to make something more cohert with people's interest...

pretty solid daily2oon today.

first of all, good choice of music for the menu. the ramones RAWK.
now let's get down to business.

F00D: that's a fairly accurate anime parody. these anime nerds who have been voting 0 because of the blatant mockery of thier choice of entertainment, (or sexual preference in the case of shin2k27) have no sense of humor outside of slapstick and facefalls after someone says something stupid which drives home the "punchline".

FiveStar: really good. it reminded me of dragonball for some reason.
probably because in my early internet years, i've seen countless DBZ music videos use that same song or something just like it. perhaps it's a good thing that the computers at the local junior high school don't allow NG to load, and i hope it stays that way because kids are idiots on the internet.

which explains why this flash has a few negative reviews. kids who don't know what they like, or only like certain things and don't give new things equal chances.

TheStarSyndicate responds:

Hey there MrBigStick, i'm glad you enjoyed todays Daily2oon.

If your still making me Daily2oons. do your best.

pretty damn good.

i've seen it before the star wars motif, and after, and i have to say the adaptation of "front page pwnage" was very smooth.

for anyone who has reviewed this movie asking who did the voice for shin, or "darth paper", it was me.

i know nothing about him so i made fun of the fact that he was from quebec.

good work on this movie, vince, the animation was fairly smooth and the sound was excellent, with a few exceptions, such as:
i heard a faint female whispering near the end with darth paper lying down on the table and i wasn't able to understand a word she said, as well as the music kind of lowering the voices, but other than that, nothing much that i noticed or would complain about.

Vinstigator responds:

Thanks Psychoworm, excelent voice acting you got there. Cannibus Clock was very impressed with it. He e-mailed me and was like "LOL was the french accent guy Psychoworm? That was fuckin' hilarious!". Oh and he offered to do voices for my upcoming movies :D

Anyway, thanks for the review (and voice).

such awesomeness i haven't seen...

since penguin jam 2.

cool-penguin-0 responds:

And you shall only see MORE awesomeness...in penguin jam 4.

unusual

it's kinda weird, but i like things that are unusual like that, so i like this. good job.

cool-penguin-0 responds:

Thanks psycho!
:)

the intro is too long, there is too much talking,

the opening scene is terribly rendered, and has little to no redeeming qualities on the already weak storyline, you're blatantly insulting another NG member, there is no voice acting, your art is awful, the blur effects are crappy at best, your spelling is horrible, i had to play FF6 for at least 12 hours before i even knew what you were talking about, the sound nearly blew my speakers, the little that you have bothered yourself to draw looks godawful, the special effects sucked, you didn't even make an effort to make the sprite of you look like you, resulting in a terribly ugly recolor of rockman zero who doesen't even fit in with final fantasy 6 characters and backgrounds, and even though you say that the sprite/weapon doesen't matter, you still give yourself a sprite with a lot of attacks and animations, the timeline has little to no consistency, you didn't even bother to edit the sprites you used to look like HAcoreRD and why is sabin fighting hardcore in the first place?

and vince didn't steal your flash, he was imitating your style to prove a point, and while i don't know what that point is, nor do i know what facts that he is avoiding, but the facts are that his point has been proven.

vince uses swish, which makes it impossible for him to use basic flash actions like tweens and streaming audio, so he has to use sprites and a lot of frame by frame.

and by the way, try to improve on... everything.

Shin2k27 responds:

Correction:

1.Vince DID steal the first scene as in the stolen version THE GRAPHIC SYMBOLES ARENT WORKING AT FULL EFFECT AND THE FPS ISNT THE SAME RESULTING IN SLOWER PACED ACTION. is that clear?

2.Tried creating your own sprite? The comment about the recoloring tells since it takes very good drawing skills to even animate one.

3.Why are the blurring effect crappy?

4.What if i give myself a character with alot of attacks? I exploited all the possible ways to make an ff6 character attack and there is even more than what you have seen.

5. Vince users swish, so what? If he is lazy its not my fault, quit trying to find excuses for him.

Generally you just tried to put up something together that had no sense to backup the zero you are giving me. Somebody with more fucking brains would have first pointed out the annoying click n go text, the speeding lines background which was quite horrible, some streamed music that werent clear, lack of more special effects than slashes and bashes and how linear the whole thing is.

But you just had to go noobish on this one. Sorry but the excuses youve given are more of an attempt at insulting me than a critique. Better luck next time.

pure, unadulterated genius.

i loved it so much. grizzly's roaring and ranting cleared out my headache caused by foamy's rant 4, which i voted 0 on as soon as it loaded, and i watched as fuel for an angry review, but my head hurt too much to write a review.

unwellpuss responds:

You should buy my headache tablets from my store. They contain 20% Headache tablets and 80% Grizzly bear urine. Then buy a shirt while you are there!
